The ‘Parallel Lines’ exhibition brings to Onoma’s Galleria360 an intriguing selection of young contemporary artists who have already established their place on the Finnish art scene.
This group exhibition is the first in the Syyssalongit series curated by Fiskars-based visual artist Peetu Liesinen, which aims to illuminate the darkening and quietening autumn season in Fiskars with a refreshing overview of interesting artists currently active elsewhere in Finland.
Peetu Liesinen is a member of the Onoma cooperative and holds a Master of Arts degree, having graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in 2020. He is known for his paintings with refined tones, in which he combines drawing, photography and collage.
Liesinen’s work has been exhibited at venues including Kiasma, Galleria Halmetoja, SIC Galleria, the Mänttä Art Festival, the Lappeenranta Art Museum, the Vantaa Art Museum, as well as in Stockholm, Frankfurt, London, Gothenburg and Berlin. In addition to private collections, her works are held in the collections of Kiasma, the Finnish State Art Commission, the Saastamoinen Foundation and the Wihuri Foundation. Liesinen lives and works in Fiskars.
