Drum meditation

Description

The connection to our ancestors is both unbreakable and fragile. To consciously strengthen this bond, author Reetta Ranta (Rituaalikirja, 2023) and artist Anu Mykrä will conduct a drum meditation ritual based on Finno-Ugric tradition, in which the audience can participate. In the ritual, we connect with our ancestors and Mother Earth. The main theme of the ritual is gratitude for life.

The total duration of the ritual is approximately 20 minutes, and it will be performed next to Anu Mykrä’s “Muamo” sculpture. The ritual is a part of Fragile summer exhbition, and will be performed in the exhibition space while the exhibition is open to the public.
